The PhD Thesis Award is a prize for young researchers whose PhD thesis has made an important contribution to psychological assessment. The winner will receive 1,000 Euros, and two years EAPA membership.

Nominations are typically done by the PhD supervisor, but we also allow for self-nominations. But please note that either the nominee or the supervisor must be an EAPA member. The PhD Thesis Award Committee, consisting of five members of EAPA appointed by the EC, will decide on the award winners. Prof. René Proyer (MLU Halle-Wittenberg, Germany) is the chair of the award committee. Please do not hesitate to contact him with any inquires  about the award you might have.
Nominations must include: (a) a short statement delineating the contribution of the thesis; (b) a CV; (c) list of publications; and (d) a short video (3 to 5 minutes) in which the PhD students presents the main findings from her/his thesis. We plan to upload the video of the winner to our website (https://www.eapa.science). Please include a statement that grants permission to upload the video. The video will not be part of the evaluation process! The PhD thesis must have been submitted and/or defended the years 2018 or 2019.
